The presentation of the European White Paper on 6 March at the European Economic and Social Committee is the concrete outcome of an initiative led by the European Federation of Family Employment (EFFE), its partners and civil society.
It responds to an objective of structuring home-based employment at European level in order to respond to basic needs: ageing of the population, women’s participation in the labour market, digital inclusion in the home, new family models or professional and social integration of migrant populations.
Home-based employment represents a potential of 20 million declared jobs at European level by 2020. This White Paper therefore takes a stand in favour of structuring home-based employment between citizens at European level and makes a series of concrete proposals to be found in the press release below.
